Ekko Technologies and Home Movie Depot, Inc. Team to Deliver Audio Photo Books.
Pioneer audio technology company partners with nation’s top home movie sharing and digitization website
ASHLAND, Mo., July, 28 2008 — Home Movie Depot, Inc. - the online destination where consumers, professional videographers, and large retailers share family movies and transfer analog content to digital formats - is proud to announce its partnership with EKKO Technologies, Inc.- the innovator in audio enhanced imaging products - to introduce the industry’s first Audio Photo Book. This partnership will revolutionize the way customers enjoy their memories. No longer is a video the only physical product that lets customers enjoy images and sound together
“Home Movie Depot’s mission is to help our customers have fun with their memories.” says Gerald McKinney, president of Home Movie Depot. “With EKKO’s technology, we can offer our customers a unique experience. Imagine a photo book of your wedding where you can actually hear each other exchanging your vows!”
Starting this fall, end users and affiliates throughout the Home Movie Depot network will be able to produce a photo book from their still images and then quickly and easily add audio to the book. The audio can be narration added using the telephone or PC microphone, music (or any audio file) uploaded from a PC, or even audio taken from a video. Customers will be able to create a photo book from materials they upload or mail to Home Movie Depot and then add audio to each page- all through a simple online interface. In the finished beautifully bound book, the customer simply touches a printed icon on each page to play the audio that accompanies an image.
“EKKO is very excited about this relationship with Home Movie Depot, and the synergy between our two companies” says Andrew Barer, President of EKKO Technologies. “Photo books are wonderful because they help us preserve our memories and tell our stories – and then keep these easily accessible, ready to enjoy and share at a moment’s notice. Now take a Photo Book and add the power of audio – the sounds that bring our memories and stories to life – and you have something truly extraordinary. Ekko is delighted to help Home Movie Depot deliver this revolutionary product to its customers”.
“Home Movie Depot is already the dominant online provider of digitization services, and this partnership will allow even more users to benefit from our ever growing product and service offerings.” said Chris Force, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Home Movie Depot “Not only will we be able to preserve memories, but we will be able to deliver a truly unique product that allows our customers to keep their memories for the future. These services will be immediatley available to our hundreds of affiliates and retail partners so that they can service their customers.”
